El Chalan in Miami

This is where I go for some authentic homemade Peruvian food. Absolutely love it! The place is kinda small and gets crowded on the weekends but somehow they manage to deliver a great service.

Excellent and authentic Peruvian food! This place has been around since 1985. It’s lasted for a reason: Authentic, fresh, delicious Peruvian food. This tastes like your Peruvian grandma just made dinner for you! Very good food indeed. I had the fish chunks and they were extremely fresh, all meat, Corvina, and delicious flavor. Pair it with a good wine and you’re all set!Located in the heart of Westchester, Miami, on Bird Road and 82nd, across from Tropical Park. Go! Awesome Ceviche!

Always great service and delicious food

The food was fine. What made me give this review was the fact that the waitress swooped an unused glass of water from another table and gave it to me. This incident made me question the cleanliness of my whole experience

This restaurant is not the same after Corona. Ordered the three cervices. They barely came up to half of the container. So sad. That a good restaurant has become so bad. Wont be going back.

The fried jalea's didn't taste good. The bread crumb batter & oil that was used wasn't appealing to my taste. Too greasy.

The lomo soltado was great and I would recommend it, great taste and portion and kind staff with attentive service. Definitely come by and try a Peruvian dish or some coffee.

Chaufa Rice is really good. I keep going back trying new combinations. Loved it...

What a delicious food.! Our server was a girl from Pereira Colombia and gave us an especial service very crowded restaurant full tables either outside people were a lots wating for their turn. I give 10

El Chalan Bird Road never disappoints. It’s an old school restaurant with warm & friendly staff. The food will speak for itself. Awesome.

The absolute best!!! The owner's and staff are just simply amazing along with truly authentic Peruvian food. Family recipes passed down and full of the most incredible flavors created in house. Been to both locations and enjoyed both restaurant experiences. Truly epic Ceviche I still rave about and is my favorite. This is family style at it's core and highly recommend!!

The best "aguadito" in town. I always go there and eat the same. Nonetheless, excellent Peruvian restaurant. Very informal and casual. Just to eat good Peruvian food.

Great food as always the Parbo a Lo Macho was excellent, is the Whole fish.

Asked my family what they would rate this place and since they eat the seafood entrees here , they love it ,I stick to Lomo Saltado

Highly recommended! This is by far my favorite ceviche spot in Miami We have been ordering more food lately and it’s always delicious . They are very good with timing when it comes to picking up food . I also appreciate how carefully they handle the food when I order through Uber eats And pay attention to the request I make . Thank you so much guys !

This place was amazing. I forget the name of the plate I took in the photo but it was super delicious. The place was a bit pack but after dinning there it was totally worth it. I'll be eating here everytime I take a trip to Miami. I highly recommend you visit it. I grantee you won't be disappointed. The employees were very nice as well.

Authentic and AMAZING FOOD, Great service, very friendly

Food was excellent! Lots of options to choose from which can make it overwhelming but it's good to know that you have lot of delicious options and it's hard to go wrong.

The food was fresh and welled season. There wasn't an item that we did not like from what we order. The food portion was good when compared to the price.

Good Peruvian comfort food, not as expensive as other restaurants. My family has been eating here since it opened. Even though we don’t live nearby anymore, we drive 40 minutes each way to eat here once a month. Don’t be fooled by other restaurants that call themselves authentic Peruvian, others may have nicer locations but this is the real deal.

Amazing local Peruvian restaurant with a home feel, friendly service despite the fact we don't speak any Spanish, and the food tastes great!

excellent today I eat on this site, and we love the chicharron of fish, and the grill of seafood and to finish a coffee with milk I loved the happy face drawn, good food and good prices

Rich menu with excellent dishes. In love with peruvian food. Be ready for a 'to go' bag. You'll have to take half of your food home.

The food was well made and portions were huge, the service was 100% amazing. We just had to wait forever for a table , but once we got a table they did everything possible to make us feel comfortable.

The food was great. I had the lomo saltado with a glass of their lemonade. Fantastic food with good portions. Try the freshly squized lemonade if you haven't yet. Our waitress was very friendly as well.

The lady at the window arround 5:00 pm is very nasty and refuse to take my order to go; she probably doesnt want to help the bussines, unfortunally!!!

The service was quick, and the jalea mixta was fantastic.

Food looks better than it tastes. Not bad but I was expecting more. Fried rice is really good. Cau cau seafood not that much. Octupus over cooked so hard to eat. Service was ok. Waiter friendly but very distracted. I will go back to try it again since this is a very popular place

Why do I have to order and pay ahead and then wait in the same line as people walking up to place orders? Also all your signs are in Spanish. Really annoying and I won’t order again because you wasted 20 min of my time in line.
